The CGN PLCC wire wrap sockets are intended for use in R&D and hobby applications. The socket supplies a PLCC socket and brings the necessary connections out to three level wire wrap pins underneath and pins long enough for probing on the top. Also included are a tantalum and a monolithic ceramic bypass capacitor. The capacitors are paralleled but otherwise unconnected, thereby allowing the user to make use of them as needed.The sockets are priced to be competitive with traditional "PLCC on a PGA wire wrap socket" approach.
