The CGN wire wrap adapter modules are intended for
use in development and hobby applications. The adapter supplies a PLCC socket
and brings the necessary connections out to three level wire wrap pins. The
module is then used as any other wire wrap socket. The modules also include
power supply bypassing, an oscillator, reset circuit, mode select jumpers, and
pull up resistors on interrupt lines. Also included is a pin identification
label numbering and labeling all pins on the wire wrap side to facilitate error
free circuit construction. Other features are described in the individual
descriptions. These adapters provide convenience and speed during prototyping.
The cost of the module is often the same or less than the equivalent components
purchased individually. In conjunction with the time savings this can represent
a considerable savings in the development of a prototype or project.
The 1001 is the basic module in the family. This
module provides for a 52 pin "FN" style package and brings each
microcontroller pin out to a wire wrap pin. Power supply bypassing, oscillator,
reset, mode select and pullup resistors are standard.
Physical Dimensions:1.775" x 1.775" x
1.100"
Crystal Frequency: 8 MHz
The 1001-232 is very similar to the 1001 (see
above). The -232 option denotes a +5v to RS-232 converter on board. The
converter is connected to the internal UART in the 'HC11 and is brought out to
wire wrap pins. This module provides for a 52 pin "FN" style package
and brings each microcontroller pin out to a wire wrap pin. Power supply
bypassing, oscillator, reset, mode select and pullup resistors are standard.
Physical Dimensions:2.250" x 1.775" x
1.100"
Crystal Frequency: 8 MHz
The 1101 is made primarily for operation in the
expanded multiplex mode. Not all microcontroller pins are available externally.
Port B and Port C are not available externally, instead latched and buffered
address and buffered data busses are available. All other controller signals
are available as well as RESET, RD, and WR. This module provides for a 52 pin
"FN" style package and brings the above described signals out to a
wire wrap pin. Power supply bypassing, oscillator, reset, mode select and
pullup resistors are standard.
Physical Dimensions: 2.750" x 2.000" x
1.100"
Crystal Frequency: 8 MHz
The 1101-232 is the virtually the same as the 1101
(see above). The -232 option denotes a +5v to RS-232 converter on board. The
converter is connected to the internal UART in the 'HC11 and is brought out to
wire wrap pins. This module provides for a 52 pin "FN" style package
and brings the above described signals out to a wire wrap pin. Power supply
bypassing, oscillator, reset, mode select and pullup resistors are standard.
Physical Dimensions: 2.750" x 2.400" x
1.100"
Crystal Frequency: 8 MHz
This version of the HC11 family contains 2K of on
board EEPROM, this is sufficient for most hobby and many other applications.
Data on this chip should be obtained from Motorola.
Note that the supply of this chip is unreliable
and CGN should be consulted before ordering to insure availability.
